Telva Awarded ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 Certification by Bureau Veritas
As of November 7th, 2024, Telva’s Quality Management System has been awarded the coveted dual certifications for both ISO 9001:2015 and AQAP 2110:2016. This strategic action to further standardize Telva’s operations is a conscious and methodic step in developing the company as a whole, making it easier to do business together with and fulfilling the requirements of our customers.
Telva today, a fourth-generation family-owned company founded in 1936, has a versatile business offering. For the civilian, security and defence industries, Telva offers component and system manufacturing, integration services, import, marketing, maintenance and repair services. In order to standardise the processes that govern the output of these functions, and thus by default must meet the most demanding of customer expectations, the decision to initiate a comprehensive ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 certification project was made.
In the words of Telva’s Quality Manager, Mr Jari Turtiainen: ”Telva has, for a company of its size, taken a big leap by acquiring both certifications at once. The foundation for the necessary process and organisational framework for these approvals had, de facto, already been laid during previous customer projects, some of which included meticulous quality auditing. The certificates we celebrate today are the result of raising the bar from previous experiences and including an external auditor. The process itself, i.e., the preparation of process and organisational documentation, pre-audit, finalising said documentation and the final audit itself, has been tremendously rewarding. It has given us a lot of insight and understanding in how we can continuously develop and improve our organisation.”
What is ISO 9001?

What is AQAP 2110?
AQAP (Allied Quality Assurance Publications), is a set of standards for quality assurance systems that have been developed by NATO. The AQAP 2110 defines quality assurance standards for the acquisition of defence matériel.
